Martina Amati
Martina Amati (born 14 May 1969) is an Italian BAFTA〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/film-news/8934811/British-Independent-Film-Awards-the-winners.html )〕 winning filmmaker. Her work often features scenes underwater.
==Biography==
Amati trained at the Brera Academy in Milan and was picked upon graduation by MTV Europe to work in the UK. She directed hundreds of MTV promos and idents and was part of the London-based team that created and launched MTV Italy, leaving immediately after the regionalization of the channel. Amati moved into drama in 2008. Her first three short films won the BAFTA (I Do Air), the BAFTA L/A Certificate of Excellence (A' Mare), and received another BAFTA nomination in 2010 for ''Chalk'', which also won the BIFA among a number of other International Awards. Amati lives in London with her husband Charles Steel.
